PLASTIC FANTASTIC

A new species of monster-wasp – an electrically powered, all-seeing plastic relative of the “killer bee” – has been discovered in London. At the recent 3D print fair, the hand-sized yellow-black creature could be seen busying about. Rather than shy away from the humming giant, attendees actually flocked to it, intrigued by the buzz surrounding what turns out to be a 3D-printed wasp case for a micro-drone.
Aside from being a nice toy, the implications for undercover observations are literally almost unfathomable. The size of the plastic insect will deter most from attempting to mess with it, allowing it to buzz about its business. Thanks to its immunity against exterminators, it can act as a wasp on the wall. And who knows? Pigs might fly soon, too.
