The brick's the brand
It must be a serious blow to the image of what many consider the ultimate sports car. No matter how much horsepower is found under the hood of a Ferrari, it will not be able to push a small plastic brick from the pole position. No matter how fast the wheels may spin, the colourful block simply cannot be overtaken anymore now that it is official: Lego is the world’s most powerful brand.

Despite its relegation to rank nine, the car maker may find consolation in the fact that Lego Racer also offers a range of Ferrari building sets. And if Italy’s national pride has also been blemished by the rankings fall, a Lego Architecture set – the Pisa Tower or the Trevi Fountain come to mind – might also offer some comfort…
