PLASTIC FANTASTIC
Nigerian government decides to stop paying with plastic...
...money that is and not credit cards! As other countries increasingly look to plastic as a solution to producing paper currency, The Nigerian government has decided after six years to return to producing its banknotes with paper. Allegedly, due to the hot and sunny climate, the bills bleach out and fade so badly that it makes for poor reusability. The company responsible for the process is somewhat perplexed by the decision. It responded to the situation saying it has not received any complaints from other countries using its technology that the currency fades. In the meantime, it has been reported the local company responsible for producing the notes, is under investigation for potential fraud and abuse. Bitcoins anyone?
