PLASTIC FANTASTIC
Cutting an interesting soccer fan
The die-hard soccer fans among us will be pleased to know that at the next match they can impress their fellow stadium-goers by whipping out their own credit-card sized plastic cutlery, with the emblem of their team embossed on it. Gone are the days of eating French Fries or sausages with plain white throwaway forks and knives. Thanks to Germany’s Usables (Duesseldorf; www.usables.de), food and drinks manufacturers now have the chance to decorate their disposable PP cutlery with photo-images. Far from a throwaway-product, the disposables are dishwasher-safe and can be used several times. With fans now able to wear not only their team’s jerseys, hats and scarves, but also able of waving the personalised cutlery with one hand, while the other bears the team flag, what could go wrong at the next match?
