Sleeping on a rack – the amazing makeover of Plattenhardt's OEM storage hall
It almost seems as though the fairy Godmother from Cinderella decided to grant a wish to what used to be a high-rack warehouse where an OEM parts supplier once stored automotive plastic parts. After its owner abandoned the former storage for greener pastures, the building in Plattenhardt / Germany is currently being revamped as a hotel. The space where plastic parts once lay in slumber will now become a resting place where travellers can sleep like logs. It is hard to think of a more extreme makeover for what essentially served as an OEM’s plastics wardrobe.

But come midnight, the spell may yet be broken. Although the new hotel will include modern amenities and comes at an affordable price, it is located right next to a steel mill – and its huge furnace. Maybe the fairy Godmother needs to keep working on her spells…
