EuPC launches second survey on using recycled plastics materials in Europe / Poll closes end May
Based on the findings and success of its first survey, European Plastics Converters (EuPC, Brussels / Belgium; www.plasticsconverters.eu) has decided to conduct a second survey in collaboration with Polymer Comply Europe (PCE, Brussels; www.polymercomplyeurope.eu).
The poll launched on 22 January and is open until May 2018 on PCE’s website. It is available in seven languages: English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Polish and Turkish. All European companies active in the plastics converting industry can participate.
EuPC said that results from last year’s survey showed that the quality of recyclates was the main reason preventing converters from using more recycled plastics materials (rPM). Nearly 500 people from 28 different countries replied to the first survey, the results of which were published last October – see Plasteurope.com of 12.12.2017.
“The second edition of our European rPM survey will enable us to further identify and specify the quality and supply issues we are facing, help us to find appropriate solutions for the future, and demonstrate our commitment to a more sustainable plastics economy,” said Alexandre Dangis, EuPC’s managing director. Results will be presented during EuPC's annual meeting on 24-25 May 2018 in Milan / Italy.
