On 23 April, Plastics Europe (Brussels; www.plasticseurope.org), the European trade association representing plastics manufacturers, announced the appointment of Hans Ketelslegers as its new director for the sustainable use of plastics. Ketelslegers has previously led regulatory affairs at Penman Consulting.

In a statement, the association emphasised that Ketelslegers’s leadership will be central to shaping the industry’s transition to a circular economy.
