Americas distribution agreement with Klöckner Pentaplast
Plantic Technologies (Altona, Victoria / Australia; www.plantic.com.au) has entered an exclusive distribution agreement in the Americas for its biopolymer range of rigid packaging films with Klöckner Pentaplast (Montabaur / Germany; www.kpfilms.com). Under the agreement, the Gordonsville, Virginia / USA business of Klöckner Pentaplast will market and sell Plantic’s biopolymer films throughout the Americas under its “Pentafood Biofilm” brand name. The films are high-amylase corn starch based products that are renewable, biodegradable, home compostable and water dispersible. They are suitable for food and general-purpose thermoformed packaging applications, such as trays for confectionery, chocolates, cookies, cosmetics, and healthcare products.
