Interplas attendance falls by 33%
In common with the trend for virtually all types of trade exhibition in the UK, and in contrast with the recent Fakuma show, visitor numbers to Interplas 2002 showed a sharp decline compared with the 1999 fair. Total visitor attendance was 17,441, down 33% on the 1999 figure of 26,196, with fewer than 9% coming from outside the UK. By general consent the quality of visitor was high, with the official statistics recording that 51% were of manager, director, owner, partner, or equivalent, status. Also, 80% said they had a direct influence over their company's buying decisions. The next Interplas is scheduled for 10-14 October 2005.
