Krauss-Maffei sees sales rise across the board
German machinery manufacturer Krauss-Maffei Kunststofftechnik (KM, www.krauss-maffei.de), Munich, increased order intake by 16% to EUR 465m in financial year 2003 (30 September). Sales rose 11% to just under EUR 471m. At the "Fakuma" trade fair, KM managing director Josef Märtl said the company benefited this year from growth in the automotive and packaging markets in particular. All three production segments, including injection moulding, polyurethanes and extrusion, recorded sales increases for 2003. While, according to Märtl, KM expects declining sales for large injection moulding machinery in 2004, he said this could be compensated by increases for small and medium-sized machines.
