TVK and Slovnaft merge petrochemicals businesses

Hungarian polyolefins and petrochemicals group TVK (www.tvk.hu), Tiszaujvaros, has merged its petrochemicals business with that of Slovakian petrochemical producer Slovnaft (www.slovnaft.sk), Bratislava. This follows approval of the plans by Hungarian oil group MOL, which acquired Slovnaft in March 2003 and owns 44% of TVK. The new petrochemicals group started trading on 1 January 2004 under the aegis of Slovnaft.
