Kuraray to launch "Septon V" elastomer this summer
Japanese chemical group Kuraray (www.kuraray.co.jp), Tokyo, plans to launch its new highly oil- and heat-resistant "Septon V" isoprene elastomer this summer. In contrast to previous Septon grades, the new material has a cross-linkable block. When used in compounds, the company says it has a heat and oil resistance similar to that of synthetic rubber.
