Greiner says price rises for packaging materials are inevitable
Austria's Greiner Packaging (www.greiner-gpi.com), Vienna, says higher prices for packaging materials are inevitable, due to extreme surges in notations for crude oil, PET, PS and PP, as well as energy. The company also cites higher logistics costs. While Greiner has been able to absorb these increases internally up to now, prices must rise if quality standards are to be kept, commented CEO Willi Eibner. "Any alterations would be fatal," he added.
