Leading European PVC window profile manufacturer Deceuninck (www.deceuninck.com), Hooglede-Gits / Belgium, will strengthen its position in the fast-growing Turkish window profiles market with the USD 8m acquisition of the "Winsa" division of Turkey's Pilsa Plastik Sanayi from Sabanci Holding (www.sabanci.com.tr). If cartel authorities approve the deal, set to close by the end of this year, Deceuninck-¦s Turkish subsidiary Ege Profil, Cigli Izmir, will become the country's number one profile manufacturer. By the end of 2005 the Belgian group expects to be able to produce more than 50,000 t/y of profiles in Turkey.
