Playmobil with record sales in jubilee year 2004
Thirty years after their market debut, the world famous "Playmobil" toys of Germany's geobra Brandstätter (www.playmobil.com), Zirndorf, appear to be more popular than ever. The company said it was able to increase its market share substantially over the past year. Altogether, sales rose 11% to EUR 359m, in geobra's view an oustanding result in a shrinking toy market. This is certainly true for Germany, where the plastic toy maker's sales rose 15% in 2004, making it one of the few winners in that highly competitve sector.
