Arburg sees growth in orders from Asia, Americas
German machinery manufacturer Arburg (www.arburg.com), Loßburg, lifted sales by 8% in 2004 to EUR 305m, according to preliminary figures. The strongest growth in new orders was seen in Asia and the Americas, although European demand remained at a high level. Alongside China, the group plans to expand its presence in eastern Europe. CEO Michael Hehl said Arburg's decision to concentrate on machines with higher clamping force as well as robots has paid off - both have been well received by the market.
