Norwegian plastics recycling companies merge
Norwegian reycling companies Plastretur (www.plastretur.no) and Norsk Returkartong (www.returkartong.no), both based in Oslo, are combining their operations. In 2004, Plastretur recycled 96,000 t of the 126,000 t of used plastic packaging (including EPS) collected in Norway. This was an increase against 2003 of nearly 5%. Around 28,300 t (29%) were mechanically recycled.
