Balda ups forecast for full year 2005
Germany's Balda (www.balda.de), Bad Oeynhausen, one of the leading moulders of mobile telephones, has upped its forecast for pretax earnings in 2005 from EUR 42-44m to EUR 45-47m after a strong first half. From January to June the company lifted sales by nearly 13% to EUR 178m. EBIT rose 41.7% to EUR 24.5m. Business with European customers contributed EUR 12.5m (EUR 10.5m) to the earnings total. Asian business accounted for EUR 10.8m (EUR 6.8m). The region America made its first earnings contribution, totalling EUR 1.2m.
