After making various acquisitions in the US, insulating materials specialist Armacell (Münster / Germany; www.armacell.de) will strengthen its position on the European technical foams market with the takeover of Belgium's Fagerdala Benelux (Thimister-Clermont / Brussels; www.fagerdala.be), a subsidiary of Sweden's Fagerdala World Foam Group (www.fagerdala.se). The Belgian company is specialised in development of thermoplastic foams. The products will either be integrated into the existing range or marketed as new Armacell brands. The 70 employees at the plant in Thimister-Clermont will be taken over by Armacell.
