Lower anti-dumping duty for Chinese producer
The European Commission has reduced its anti-dumping duties on PET granules for China´s Jiangyin Chengsheng New Packing Material Co Ltd. The company successfully argued that it is a "new exporter" and only began shipping to Europe after the period for which the duties were levied. Companies subjected to the duty are required to pay EUR 184/t for dumping margins of up to 22.9%. As the dumping margin for Jiangyin Chengsheng´s material was only 5.6%, the duty was fixed at EUR 45/t.
