Butyl acetate: Oxea declares force majeure in Europe
Due to unforeseen technical issues at its production plant in Marl / Germany, the chemical company Oxea (Oberhausen / Germany; www.oxea-chemicals.com) declares force majeure on butyl acetate in Europe until further notice. Oxea is presently unable to maintain the manufacture and supply of this product. Meanwhile, the company is already working to ensure that the impact is as minimal as possible, it said.

Butyl acetate is used among others as an intermediate in the production of PVB.
