PP: LyondellBasell declares force majeure for a "Hostalen" grade from Brindisi
As Plasteurope.com learned from a reliable source, LyondellBasell (Houston, Texas / USA; www.lyondellbasell.com) has declared force majeure for a certain grade of PP from its production plant at the Italian site of Brindisi. According to the source, the company is unable to supply "Hostalen PP H5416" for the time being. The material is generally used for heating pipes and is apparently deployed mainly in Turkey.
The west European core market is therefore unlikely to be affected by the FM, or if at all, only marginally.
