On 1 September Michael Lorig took over as CEO of CQLT SaarGummi technologies Sàrl (Schengen / Luxembourg). The former COO of the sealing specialist will replace Larry Johnson, who has been appointed president of the group’s North and South America business.
Before this latest appointment as chief executive, Lorig had managed the automotive supplier's global restructuring programme, implemented in the wake of its 2011 takeover by Chongqing Light Industry & Textile Holding Group (CQLT, Chongqing / China; www.qfkg.com.cn).
Commenting on his appointment, Lorig said, “My aim is to strengthen SaarGummi’s global footprint with an extended portfolio, strategic international growth and targeted investments, thereby creating the conditions to step up to become the industry leader.”
