On 1 July, Harald Biederbick will take over as new CEO of the executive management board at RKW Group (Frankenthal / Germany; www.rkw-group.com). Biederbick has been a member of the executive management board since 2009, and currently serves as the film producer’s CFO, overseeing finance, controlling, HR and IT functions.
His predecessor, Roland Roth, will join the company’s supervisory board and remains in his role as president of the German Association for Plastics Packaging and Films (IK, Bad Homburg; www.kunststoffverpackungen.de). Roth has been a member of RKW’s board of directors since 1998, and started his term as CEO in 2009.
The managerial shift is not the only change that will take place at RKW come 1 July. By then the company also will implement its new business structure, converting its existing five global business areas into three. The first, Packaging, will be headed by Matthias Kaufmann, while the Hygiene & Industrial division will be overseen by Manfred Bracher and the Agriculture business will be managed by Biederbick.
The new management plans to continue RKW’s international growth strategy, specifically by focusing “more strongly on the global expansion of strategic product areas in the different growth markets,” while at the same time continuing “to expand its leading position in the domestic European market.”
