German films producer RKW Group (Frankenthal; www.rkw-group.com) has appointed Oliver Dirmeier as new sales manager overseeing the group’s Asia business. Dirmeier has held the post, based at RKW Lotus in Ho Chi Minh City / Vietnam, since 1 January 2014, following in the footsteps of Nguyen Khue, who will continue to serve as executive board member of the Vietnamese subsidiary.

In his new position, Dirmeier, who has been serving as RKW’s commercial director Asia since 1 September 2013, has been tasked with overseeing additional growth in the Asian market while also expanding existing customer relations.

The Vietnamese subsidiary of RKW – in which the German group acquired all shares just last year – is specialised in the manufacture of high-value consumer packaging for household goods and foodstuffs, including bin and carrier bags, among others. Most output is exported to western and northern Europe.
