Stephen Mark Dwyer, 56, the CEO and president at Polish-base Basell Orlen Polyolefins (BOP, Plock; www.basellorlen.pl), a joint venture of Dutch chemical and refining giant LyondellBasell (Rotterdam; www.lyondellbasell.com) and PKN Orlen (Plock; www.orlen.pl), died peacefully at home on 4 October in Okemos, Michigan. A company spokeswoman refused to provide further details.
In addition to developing four plastic patents, Dwyer spent 24 years working for LyondellBasell and was a member of the board at PlasticsEurope (Brussels / Belgium www.plasticseurope.org). He is survived by his wife of 33 years and his three children.
