Sumitomo (SHI) Demag appoints two new managing directors / COO resigns

German-based injection moulding manufacturer Sumitomo (SHI) Demag Plastics Machinery (Schwaig; www.dpg.com) has named Christian Renners as a new managing director for sales, after sales, marketing and all subsidiaries. Renners has more than 25 years of experience in the plastics industry.
In addition, Andreas Schramm, who has been with the company since 2001, has also been named a new managing director. In his new role, he will oversee R&D, quality and production.
In other changes announced by Sumitomo (SHI) Demag, COO Shaun Dean has resigned from his position, effective 1 June, and will return to Sumitomo Heavy Industries (Tokyo /Japan; www.shi.co.jp/english/index.html) to take on "broader responsibilities" within the SHI Group.
