Johan Nilsson becomes Operations senior vice president at International Automotive Components / Tasked with driving European restructuring

Johan Nilsson has been named the senior vice president of Operations at International Automotive Components (IAC, Luxembourg; www.iacgroup.com), a post in which he will drive the restructuring of the OEM’s European production plants into specialised product groups. In addition, Nilsson will also be in charge of new product launches, an expanded customer support service as well as the maintenance of high-quality operations.
As part of IAC Group’s executive team, Nilsson is in charge of 27 plants across 10 European countries, overseeing a workforce of more than 6,500 employees. He reports to group president and CEO James Kamsickas.
IAC Group is an international OEM with 76 plants across 16 countries. Its 24,000 employees posted sales of USD 4.4 bn in 2011. Aside from 10 European soft-trim production sites, specialised in interior flooring and acoustic systems, the group also operates 17 hard-trim facilities in Europe, six of which focus on the continent’s northern producers, three on the UK and eight on OEMs in central Europe.
