Wolfgang Heuchel to become new CEO of Lanxess Central Eastern Europe

Once the new year gets underway, Wolfgang Heuchel will assume all executive functions for Lanxess Central Eastern Europe (Bratislava / Slovakia). He will replace as CEO Flemming Bjornslev, who will become the president and chief executive of Lanxess Corporation in the USA. Heuchel started working at Bayer in 1981 and also held several positions abroad, including in Singapore and Japan. He joined Lanxess in 2004 and most recently served as regional sales head of the group’s Ion Exchange Resins business in Asia Pacific.
Lanxess Central Eastern Europe represents the German specialty chemicals group in Austria, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
