Mark Bassett new vice president of Dow Polyurethanes

US chemical giant Dow (Midland, Michigan; www.dow.com) has named Mark Bassett global vice president of Dow Polyurethanes. In his new role, he will be responsible for business strategy, profit and loss, as well as innovation and growth.
Bassett began his career with Dow in 1989 when he joined the Union Carbide Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Dow. Prior to his new role, he served as global vice president for Dow Oxygenated Solvents.
