Teknor Apex announces new European thermoplastic elastomer marketing duo
US custom compounder Teknor Apex (Pawtucket, Rhode Island; www.teknorapex.com) has announced the promotion of two employees to manage the European marketing of its Thermoplastic Elastomer Division from the group’s offices in Geleen / The Netherlands.

Stef Hordijk has been named senior market manager Europe for non-automotive thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs), specifically for the construction, consumer, industrial, medical, packaging and wire and cable markets for the group’s proprietary “Sarlink”, “Medalist”, “Monprene” and “Elexar” TPE brands. In addition, Hordijk will also oversees Teknor Apex’s network of distributors in Europe.
The US group also announced the promotion of Ger Vroomen to senior automotive market manager Europe for TPEs. He will also oversee the group’s global sealing systems business, a major application for Sarlink thermoplastic vulcanisate (TPV) elastomers.
Both Hordijk and Vroomen came to Teknor Apex after the US group acquired the Sarlink business from DSM Elastomers (Herleen / The Netherlands; www.dsm.com) in late 2010 – see Plasteurope.com of 23.09.2010.
