Arburg mourns passing of senior partner Karl Hehl

German injection moulding machinery maker Arburg (Lossburg; www.arburg.com) is mourning the unexpected passing of senior partner Karl Hehl, who passed away on 24 November at the age of 87. “In Karl Hehl Arburg and the entire industry has lost an extraordinary character, business man and pioneer,” a company statement said.
Hehl’s most recent position in the group had been as advisory partner. Before that, he served for many years as chairman of the management board. In 2007, he and his brother, Eugen Hehl, received the American Society of Plastics Engineers’ (SPE, Brookfield, Connecticut / USA; www.4spe.org) business management award for their lifetime achievement.
