Giorgio Colombo appointed president designate of Italian Assocomaplast association

The committee of the Italian Plastics and Rubber Processing Machinery and Mould Manufacturers’ Association Assocomaplast (Milan / Italy; www.assocomaplast.org) has unanimously decided to appoint Giorgio Colombo new president. The nomination will be put up for vote by the association’s general assembly in early June. Colombo serves as CEO of family-run twin-screw extruder manufacturer ICMA San Giorgio (San Giorgio su Legnano / Italien; www.icmasg.it). If confirmed, he will hold the office of president from 2010-2012.
Colombo will replace current president Riccardo Comerio, whose term actually ended in 2009. However, Assocomaplast decided to extend his tenure by 12 months so he could oversee the completion of a restructuring programme.
