Andreas Schmitt named new CEO of Simba Toys

As part of expanding its management circle, toy manufacturer Simba Dickie Group (Fürth / Germany; www.simba-dickie-group.com) has named Andreas Schmitt the new CEO of Simba Toys GmbH & Co KG (Fürth / Germany; www.simbatoys.com). The appointment became effective on 1 January 2010. Until now, Schmitt had served as managing director of Simba Toys Hong Kong, where he will continue to serve as CEO. His operative dealings in the Far East will be taken over by Andreas Melchhart.
“Simba Dickie Group’s rapid expansion in the past few years forced us to redivide management capacities. We are happy that the appointment of Andreas Schmitt now puts Simba Toys’ management back into the hands of one person,” said Uwe Weiler, Simba Dickie Group COO.
