Gut has left Balda

Joachim Gut, long-standing CEO of Balda (Bad Oeynhausen / Germany; www.balda.de), left the company at the end of 2008. Former CFO Dr. Dirk Eichelberger has been appointed CEO and sole member of the management board. Gut took the helm of the injection moulder and mobile phone supplier in October 2003 and stubbornly pursued the vision of making it the technology leader in touch screens despite diminishing success. Although the company’s shareholders refused to ratify the actions of the management board at the AGM in July 2008 this did not elicit any response from Gut.
