Beach replaces Cole at Ticona

Sandra Beach Lin has been appointed president of engineering polymers producer Ticona (Kelsterbach / Germany; www.ticona.com) and vice president of parent company Celanese (Dallas, Texas / USA; www.celanese.com), effective 23 July 2007. She replaces Lyndon Cole, who is retiring, but will remain with the company during a transition period. Lin most recently served as group vice president, specialty materials and converting, at Avery Dennison (Pasadena, California / USA; www.averydennison.com). According to Celanese, Beach will concentrate on the “execution of key business strategies, including growth in Asia.”
