UK injection moulding and tooling specialist Pentagon Plastics has rebranded as the Pentagon Plastics Group (Horsham / UK; www.pentagonplastics.co.uk), which includes a new logo and website. In 2016, Pentagon added to its tooling division by acquiring UK plastic mould tooling company Phoenix Engineering 2009, and in the same year added two new injection moulding machines. The group is retaining the trading names of Pentagon Plastics and Phoenix Engineering 2009. Pentagon also acquired freehold on an additional 930 m² of manufacturing space in 2019.
The UK firm was founded in 1972 as Small Batch Plastics and now has expertise encompassing the caps and closures market and fast cycling tooling, among other things. It offers low- to medium-volume plastic injection moulding production as well as component design and development.
