Plastiv Yakum (Yakum / Israel; www.plastiv.com), which claims to be the leading manufacturer of blow-moulded containers, bottles and injection-moulded closures in Israel, plans to open a production facility for polycarbonate water bottles in Rodange / Luxembourg, together with the recently established PCP Lux SA (L-4801 Rodange). A sum of EUR 1m has been earmarked for investment in machinery during the first stage, and production of 8 to 20-litre bottles will commence with seven employees. The bottles are destined primarily for customers in western Europe. Plastiv´s production range includes plastic closures for composite milk packaging produced by Israel´s Elopak subsidiary Elocap Ltd (Yakum / Israel) and also takes in engineering components. Materials employed include HDPE, LDPE, PP, PC and PET.
