The Polyolefin Circular Economy Platform (PCEP, Brussels / Belgium; www.pcep.eu) recently held its first annual general meeting, since its formal establishment as a non-profit at the start of February 2020, and elected new board members. Due to coronavirus restrictions, the AGM took place online.
Mark Vester (Sabic) was elected chair of the PCEP steering board, taking over from David Baker (Berry Global – see Plasteurope.com of 17.12.2018). Vester is a founding PCEP board member as well as a member of Sabic’s executive management team in Europe and board member of Dutch industry association NRK Verpakkingen.
In addition, Ton van der Giessen (Van Werven) was elected as PCEP’s vice-chair, and Harald Biederbick (RKW) was elected treasurer. The other board members are Eugenio Longo (Borealis), Jacques Breulet (Ineos) and Tanguy Kervyn (Total), with Christoph Hoffmann (Alpla) and Gat Ramon (Cabka) being board observers.
During the AGM, the outgoing board adopted the PCEP’s budget on condition that it is reviewed by the new board, especially in light of the Covid-19 crisis.
