EUR 11m investment to raise food service market share / Thermoforming and automation updates at Dutch sites
Rigid plastic packaging producer Paccor Packaging Solutions (Zell / Germany; www.paccor.com) has said that it is to invest a further GBP 9.4m (EUR 11m) as part of its strategy to become a major player in rigid food packaging in both the food service and the consumer goods market sectors. The investment in the company’s Dutch-based food service division will be made at its facilities in Standdaarbuiten and Nijkerk and will support site development combined with new thermo-forming machinery and automation with advanced data collection technology.

Paccor's managing director, Chris Hart, notes: "We look to continue our growth and development in the food service packaging industry through investment in our people, existing facilities and targeting sustainable growth opportunities." He added the investments will allow the company to increase market share and continue to develop new products and seek out alternative environmentally-friendly materials that can enhance performance and minimise the risk of continuing volatility in raw material prices.
