Raising TMP output in Texas / Optimised processes for polyester and polyurethane component
US oxo-intermediates and oxo-derivatives producer Oxea (Dallas, Texas; www.oxea-chemicals.com) plans to raise trimethylolpropane (TMP) output at its site in Bishop, Texas / USA by means of several new continuous processes it has developed. The company did not specify the investment cost of the new techniques, nor the final nameplate capacity or commissioning date of the expansion of the polyester and polyurethane component.

Commenting on the plans, Oxea executive board member Miguel Matas said, “Our production site in Bishop is of great importance to our polyols, which constitute a significant part of Oxea’s Derivatives portfolio.”
