The large-scale polyolefins project "Liwa Plastics Industries Complex" in Sohar / Oman – see Plasteurope.com of 18.08.2016 – is well on schedule, Ahmed al Jahdhami, CEO of the state-owned operator Oman Oil Refineries and Petroleum Industries (Orpic, Sohar; www.orpic.om), told the national press. Around 54% of the plants had already been erected in February 2018. Commissioning could then take place as planned in early 2020.
