Dutch plastic packaging maker Oerlemans Packaging (Genderen; www.oerlemanspackaging.nl) recently had a groundbreaking ceremony to expand the factory of its domestic subsidiary Oerlemans Plastics in Giessen. During the event, which had no audience due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Oerlemans Plastics board director Johan Kranenbroek said offices, storage capacity, a silo line and machines for producing high-quality packaging will be built. More than 8,400 m² of production and office facilities will be added at the site. Completion is expected by mid-August 2021, with the opening planned for autumn.
The expansion is expected to double the size of the current location at De Rietdijk industrial estate, which already houses a printing company, warehouse, office laboratory and repro centre.
