Nanotube production facility in Luxembourg to be built
With support from the Luxembourg government, OCSiAl (Leudelange / Luxembourg; www.ocsial.com) is planning to build a production facility for single-wall carbon nanotubes and a centre for applied nanotechnology in Differdange / Luxembourg (see Plasteurope.com of 13.12.2016). The first stage of the facility is scheduled to launch in 2020.
Production capacity is expected to be 250 t/y, which, according to OCSiAl, will make it the largest production centre for these polymer additives worldwide. The company is investing around EUR 80-100m on the project, which senior vice president Konstantin Notman says will create about 200 jobs.
