Canadian technology company Nulogy (Toronto, Ontario; www.nulogy.com) has launched a “Rapid Contact Tracing” capability to help packaging companies protect the health and safety of their employees during the coronavirus pandemic. “Rapid Contact Tracing allows contract packagers and manufacturers to leverage data automation to minimise operational risk and protect business continuity,” said Nulogy’s CEO Jason Tham.
The new capability, which is part of Nulogy’s cloud-based “Agile Customisation” platform, can track labour across the shop floor in real time and prepare for an infection within the facility. Users can generate reports by shift, time period and production line number to quickly identify and isolate areas of risk without needing to shut down the whole plant.
In the case of an infection, the system can rapidly identify all workers an infected employee might have been in contact with, isolate potentially affected areas and pinpoint pallets or the batch code of a job that an infected person has handled.
