Within the space of just a month, sustainable materials producer Novomer (Waltham, Massachusetts / USA; www.novomer.com) has lined up a wide range of distribution agreements across Europe to market its “Converge” polypropylene carbonate (PPC) polyols. After Iberia, Turkey and Italy (for previous coverage, see Plasteurope.com of 18.07.2014 and of 04.08.2014), the company is now entering the German market, where Nordmann, Rassmann (NRC, Hamburg / Germany; www.nrc.de) has been appointed the exclusive PPC distributor.

The high-performance “Converge” family of PPCs is based on renewable feedstocks such as carbon dioxide. NRC will market Novomer’s 1,000 and 2,000 molecular weight series, used in polyurethane formulations, including adhesives, coatings, sealants, elastomers as well as rigid and flexible foams.
