Nordson Corporation (Westlake, Ohio / USA; www.nordson.com) is now offering its entire range of polymer melt delivery equipment – including filtration systems, ovens, gear pumps and valves – under the "BKG" product brand. In addition to its underwater pelletiser systems, BKG will now also stand for the melt filtration systems, gear pumps and valves previously sold under the “Kreyenborg” brand name, as well as the screen changers, ovens and gear pumps that were previously branded as “Xaloy”. The company also unveiled new brand names: “BKG HiCon Filtering System” for self-cleaning systems, “BKG NorCon Screen Changers” for continuous and discontinuous screen changers, “BKG BlueFlow” for gear pumps, and “BKG HyFlex” for valves.
At the same time, the company said it will move the melt delivery system business acquired from Kreyenborg in 2013 to the site operated by Nordson BKG (Münster) in the same German city. Following the move, the company plans to expand operations in Münster to about four times the current size in order to optimise production and allow for future growth. The site is set to receive advanced engineering and manufacturing systems, a new warehouse and inventory structure, an aftermarket section as well as an expanded technology centre.
The Xaloy brand name will continue to be used for Nordson’s screw and barrel products for extrusion and injection moulding, the company said, adding that the European headquarters of this particular portfolio will remain with Nordson Xaloy Europe (Neckarsulm / Germany; www.nordsonpolymerprocessing.com).
