NORDSON
Rebranding of Xaloy Superior and EDI acquisitions
US precision technology company Nordson (Westlake, Ohio; www.nordson.com) is rebranding newly acquired melt delivery components producer Xaloy Superior Holdings and extrusion die company EDI Holdings as Nordson Xaloy and Nordson EDI respectively. Constructiewerkhuizen G Verbruggen, acquired by Nordson in 2011, and Premier Dies, acquired by EDI earlier this year, also will also be renamed under the Nordson EDI brand.
The rebranding, which will take place over the next few months, reflects the complementary nature of Xaloy Superior and EDI’s activities, said Nordson senior vice president Peter Lambert. On a typical plastic extrusion line, EDI’s extrusion dies and feedblocks are downstream from Xaloy’s screw, barrel, melt pump and screen changer offerings, he explained.
Nordson has been expanding through a string of acquisitions of which EDI is the latest – see Plasteurope.com of 12.06.2012.
