NORDMANN, RASSMANN
Distributing Asahi Kasei's “Tenac” C HC POM grades in select European countries
Nordmann, Rassmann (NRC, Hamburg / Germany; www.nrc.de) is now distributing Asahi Kasei’s (Tokyo / Japan; www.asahi-kasei.co.jp) “Tenac” C HC POM grades in Germany, Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic and Hungary. The German group has begun marketing Tenac-C HC 350, characterised by high viscosity, as well as Tenac-C HC 550, with medium viscosity. Both grades are said to exhibit outstanding mechanical properties and good resistance against chemicals and fats. They also display excellent results in terms of long-term creep resistance and flexing cycle tests, even at higher temperatures, NRC said.

Key applications for the materials – which combine the positive traits of both homo and copo POM – include mechanical parts, cog wheels, fuel valves, pumps and latches, among others.
