NORDMANN, RASSMANN
Distributing alkoxylated polyols from Perstorp
German chemicals distributor Nordmann, Rassmann (NRC, Hamburg / Germany; www.nrc.de) said it is now distributing several alkoxylated polyols from long-standing supplier Perstorp (Perstorp / Sweden; www.perstorp.com). Alkoxylated polyols are liquid crosslinkers, and can be used to optimise elastomer characteristics such as hardness, flexibility and resilience.

The range includes "Polyol 3990", a liquid trimethylolpropane (TMP) with a low level of alkoxylation. It does not require heating and improves the hardness and flexibility of elastomers, NRC said. Also part of the portfolio is "Polyol 3610" and "Polyol 4800", used to control the cross-link density and maintain the resilience and toughness of PU. Polyol 3610 is also used to increase the hardness in flexible foam.
